Despite the tumultuous year we’ve had, Poppy couples have reminded us that no matter what, love still wins. They’ve been rolling with the punches, staying true to their love, and celebrating responsibly during the year when Covid dramatically altered their wedding plans.
We want to celebrate the beauty they’ve allowed us to create, and celebrate their love. It’s an enormous honor to be trusted with one of the most important days of their lives — an honor we never take for granted.
Renee booked with us at the beginning of this year, when things looked a lot different than they do now. She had always planned for an intimate wedding at Big Cork Vineyards in Maryland, so, fortunately, a major overhaul to her plans wasn't needed.
Over the course of several months, I worked closely with Renee, building her dream vision of creating an ethereal lush rose garden at Big Cork Vineyards in Rohrersville, Maryland. She specifically envisioned blush and white roses, along with pops of anemones throughout the ceremony and the reception.
The wedding itself was on a warm and humid July day. A rainstorm rolled in and threatened to move the ceremony from the gorgeous view overlooking the vineyard to a tented area on the other side of the property. Fortunately, the skies cleared just in time for set-up, and Renee’s guests were transported to a grapevine and flower-filled oasis.
